WNBA rookie star Angel Reese is reportedly at odds with her Chicago Sky teammates after making blunt public comments questioning their ability to lead the team.
According to Front Office Sports, Reese openly stated that she doesn’t believe Rachel Banham or Hailey Van Lith are capable of leading a playoff team. She also questioned veteran point guard Courtney Vandersloot’s ability to return to form “at the age she’s at” following her ACL injury.
Reese was quoted multiple times saying, “we need great players,” while also urging head coach Teresa Weatherspoon — referred to as “Marsh” in her remarks — to coach the team harder.
Her Sky teammates are reportedly unhappy with the comments and are planning to confront her about them.
This comes as Reese continues to draw heavy attention on and off the court, balancing her rising profile with the challenges of fitting into a veteran WNBA locker room.
