Top-40 2027 Forward Dylan Jones Commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M landed one of its biggest commitments of the 2027 recruiting cycle Monday when four-star forward Dylan Jones announced his pledge to the Aggies. The 6-foot-6 standout from Bartlett High School in Tennessee chose Texas A&M over Ole Miss and Providence after a recruitment that also included interest from Tennessee, Memphis and several other major programs.

Jones is ranked No. 37 nationally and No. 8 among small forwards in the Rivals Industry Ranking, which also lists him as the No. 1 player in Tennessee. He has built his reputation as a physical, versatile two-way wing with a strong motor. Jones averaged 17.0 points and 5.5 rebounds on the EYBL circuit and earned MVP honors at the Pangos All-American Camp. He said Texas A&M’s style of play and his relationship with the coaching staff were central to his decision.

The commitment gives coach Bucky McMillan another important building block in the 2027 class. Jones joins four-star point guard Chase Richardson and becomes the highest-rated high school commitment of McMillan’s Texas A&M tenure. For the Aggies, landing a nationally ranked wing from SEC territory is significant beyond one roster spot: it adds another versatile perimeter player while showing that McMillan’s staff can win competitive recruiting battles against programs across the region.
