Boxing fans and trading card collectors have something big to celebrate — Topps Chrome Boxing is making its long-awaited return, with pre-orders starting August 11, 2025. This marks Topps’ first boxing card set since 1951, making it one of the most historic hobby releases in decades.
What makes this collection truly groundbreaking is that it’s the first ever to be officially licensed by multiple major boxing promoters: Top Rank, Matchroom, Golden Boy Promotions, and Most Valuable Promotions. The 100-card base checklist spans generations, featuring legends like Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Sugar Ray Leonard, as well as current stars such as Tyson Fury and Ryan Garcia. It also includes rookie cards, autographs, and ultra-rare chase parallels numbered all the way down to 1/1.
Notably, Topps confirmed that Gervonta Davis was initially part of the set but was later removed from the checklist. Each hobby box contains 8 cards per pack, 12 packs per box, and 12 boxes per case, with inserts like Hidden Gems and Refractors adding to the chase value.
Following Topps’ recent success with UFC and WWE trading cards, this release is expected to generate massive interest from both collectors and boxing enthusiasts. With its blend of history, star power, and rare hits, Topps Chrome Boxing 2025 is already shaping up to be one of the hottest sports card products of the year.
