Hugo Santillan Second Boxer To Pass Away In One Week – Coma and Heart/Kidney Failure

Hugo Santillan the 23-year-old died from injuries suffered in a fight last Saturday against Eduardo Abreu.

Santillan drew with Eduardo Javier Abreu over 10 rounds in San Nicolas in his homeland before he collapsed as he raised his arms in celebration at the final bell.

He was held up by one of his trainers as the result was announced but fell to the canvas and was given oxygen before being taken to hospital.

He was in a coma and was determined he suffered Heart and Kidney failure as well.

Boxing is a brutal sport which shows as early this week Maxim Dadashev died on Tuesday.
