Jaron “Boots” Ennis Defeats Lima in first round

Jaron “Boots” Ennis won his fight tonight against Uisma Lima by knockout in the first round.
In the bout for the interim WBA super welterweight title, Ennis quickly took control with his jab, landed a right hand to the body, and rocked Lima with a left uppercut. He then dropped Lima twice—first with a left hand-right hook combination, and again with a flurry of punches—prompting the referee to stop the fight early.
This victory improves Ennis’s record to 35-0 with 31 KOs, marking a strong debut at 154 pounds.
