San Diego, Ca- Jose Ramirez is finally going to defend his World Super Lightweight Championship against Antonio Orozco. Ramirez was scheduled to make his first title defense this past Saturday but, the fight was cancel because his opponent Danny O’Connor was not able to make the weight and hospitalize by trying. As for Orozco, he had had a rocky couple of years. Orozco looked terrific after he defeated the young upcoming prospect Keandre Gibson in early 2017. Orozco was ready to compete for a world championship, but that is when Orozco year took a left turn. Orozco was Schedule to fight against Roberto Ortiz, but he failed to make 140-pound limit the fight was canceled. That was the second time in his career that he did not make weight. Orozco changes trainer and left Carlos Baragan for Manny Robles for his next fight. Orozco made weight and got the win, but his relationship did not last with Robles. Orozco is back with Baragan for the Ramirez fight. The match is scheduled to take place in Ramirez hometown of Fresno, California on September 14 a day before the Canelo vs. Golovkin rematch. I would not be surprised if this fight becomes the Co-main event for the Canelo-GGG fight
