Mexico, City—- Julio Cesar Chavez Jr has not been in the ring since he lost a unanimous decision to fellow country mate Saul “Canelo” Alvarez in May 2017. It has been over a year, and Chavez Jr has not returned to the ring. The lost to Alvarez was hard on Chavez Jr after having issues outside of the ring it seem like Jr will never fight again. Recently Chavez Jr is back in the spotlight as he said he would return on Agust 11 of this year. Rumors started to circulate that he sign a deal with boxing promoter Eddie Hearn.
“I am still with Al Haymon,” Chavez told Boxingsocialist
” Hearn has not offered me any deal yet but if he offers a reasonable deal to me. I don’t know why we could not work together.”
Chavez lawyer told him that his next fight would be in Agust 11. The front-runner is Sergio Mora, and also Vanes Martirosyan is being considered. Also, it is unknown if Chavez will continue to have Nacho Beristain but he is in Mexico City, and he will meet up with the legendary trainer to talk business but not is for sure.
