Knicks Obliterate Celtics to Reach First ECF Since 2000

The New York Knicks delivered a commanding 119–81 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, clinching the series 4–2 and advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000.

Dominant Second Quarter: The Knicks outscored the Celtics 38–17 in the second quarter, building a 27-point halftime lead and extending it to as much as 41 in the third quarter.  Balanced Scoring Attack: Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby each contributed 23 points. Mikal Bridges added 22 points. Karl-Anthony Towns recorded 21 points and 12 rebounds. Josh Hart achieved a triple-double, the first for a Knick in the playoffs since 1972.  Stifling Defense: The Knicks held the Celtics to 36% shooting from the field and 29.3% from three-point range, while outrebounding them 55–36.  Celtics’ Struggles: Without star forward Jayson Tatum, sidelined due to a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered in Game 4, the Celtics lacked offensive cohesion.
