During a game against the Sacramento Kings on March 3, 2025, Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving got hurt badly. He landed awkwardly after a foul while driving to the basket and clutched his left leg in pain. He couldn’t put any weight on it at first, but he stayed on the court to make both free throws.
Then, his teammate Anthony Davis and a staff member helped him off the court to the locker room. The Mavericks later said that Irving had a sprained left knee and wouldn’t be able to play the rest of the game. They didn’t say how bad the injury was right away, so we don’t know if he’ll be out for a while.
This injury is just one more thing that’s been going on with the Mavericks’ players this season.
