Mario Barrios Moving Up from 140lbs to face Keith Thurman on PPV?

Keith Thurman and Mario Barrios have struck a deal for a welterweight fight
on Jan. 29. Thurman’s first fight since July 2019 loss to Manny Pacquaio.
Barrios climbs to 147 pounds after TKO loss to Gervonta Davis.

On the agenda of the Dec. 13 Nevada commission meeting, there is a TGB
Promotions date request for Jan. 29 at the MGM Grand to be televised on
PPV. Per source involved, the request is for a Fox PPV card that would
include Keith Thurman’s return in the main event.

Not too many fans are feeling this fight. It seems as if either Keith
Thurman was not mentally ready after Pacquiao defeated him, or Al Haymon
had shelved him for a while.

Barrios on the other hand could not take Tank punching power and now he if
facing a One hitter quitter in Keith Thurman.
