Ortiz Shines in Vegas

Las Vegas Nevada- Vergil Ortiz Jr from Dallas Texas destroyed the aging professor Mauricio Herrera. Ortiz moves up to 147 to challenge the former world champion Herrera. From the get-go, Ortiz looked bigger stronger and faster. In the first round, Herrea was severely hurt but was able to survive the round. In the second round, Ortiz continued the pressure on Herrea and dropped him in the closing seconds of round number two. Herrera was able to beat the count but was in bad shape. When the 3rd round started, Herrera did not recover fully and looked hurt. Ortiz attacked Herrera and was able to finish him off with an onslaught of punches. Herrera when down after that onslaught and the referee stopped the fight. Ortiz improve his record to 13-0 (13kos)
