Caleb Plant (23-2, 14 KOs) is set to defend his Interim WBA Super Middleweight title against Jose Armando Reséndiz (15-2, 11 KOs) on Saturday, May 31, at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. This 12-round bout headlines a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) event and will stream live on Amazon Prime Video for all Prime members in the U.S. and select countries. 

Plant enters the ring following a ninth-round TKO victory over Trevor McCumby in September 2024.  He emphasizes the importance of staying focused on Reséndiz, stating, “I’m not taking him lightly.” 

🔥 Potential Showdown: Plant vs. Charlo Later in 2025

Both Plant and Jermall Charlo are scheduled to fight on the May 31 card—Charlo faces Thomas LaManna in the co-main event. Should both fighters win, a long-anticipated grudge match between Plant and Charlo is expected later this year.  Their rivalry dates back to a backstage altercation in 2023, where Plant slapped Charlo during a heated exchange.

Looking ahead, Plant aims to solidify his legacy by targeting top contenders in the super middleweight division. He expressed interest in facing fighters like Edgar Berlanga, Jaime Munguia, and Diego Pacheco, stating his goal is to “keep picking them off until my name is cemented and I’m in the Hall of Fame.”

In a recent interview, Plant expressed openness to a potential fight with Jake Paul, acknowledging Paul’s dedication to boxing. However, Plant emphasized that his current focus remains on his upcoming bout with Reséndiz.
