Reece Beekman Earns Wizards Two-Way Deal After Strong Summer and G League Season
Reece Beekman has turned his Washington Wizards opportunity into a two-way contract. Washington converted the 25-year-old guard’s Exhibit 10 deal Sunday, filling its open two-way slot and giving the former Virginia standout a pathway between the Wizards and Capital City Go-Go during the 2026-27 season.
Beekman earned the opportunity after a productive year in the NBA G League and a strong summer with Washington. He averaged 8.8 points, 4.6 assists and 1.9 steals for the Osceola Magic last season, then showed his playmaking ability with the Wizards’ Summer League team, including a 13-point, 15-assist performance. He joins Jamir Watkins and Felix Okpara as Washington’s three two-way players.
The move fits Beekman’s profile. The former Virginia guard was a two-time ACC Defensive Player of the Year and has already spent time with Golden State and Brooklyn since going undrafted in 2024. Washington is still developing a young roster, and Beekman gives the organization another defensive-minded ballhandler who can organize an offense without requiring a standard roster spot. The next step is turning consistent G League production into enough NBA minutes to establish himself as a dependable backup guard.
