Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Drops 40 as Thunder Take 3–1 Lead Over Timberwolves

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander erupted for a playoff career-high 40 points, along with 10 rebounds and 9 assists, to lift the Oklahoma City Thunder to a thrilling 128–126 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. The win gives OKC a 3–1 series lead, putting them one step away from their first NBA Finals appearance since 2012.

SGA was unstoppable all night, controlling the pace and delivering in clutch moments. He got major help from his young co-stars:

  • Jalen Williams dropped 34 points (playoff career high), hitting 6 of 9 from beyond the arc and dishing 5 assists.
  • Chet Holmgren, playing in his hometown of Minneapolis, added 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Together, the Thunder’s trio combined for 95 of the team’s 128 points, silencing the Timberwolves’ stars Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle, who were held to just 21 combined.

After suffering a 42-point blowout in Game 3, Oklahoma City responded with resilience and dominance. Now, with Game 5 looming, they have a chance to close out the series at home.
