Shakur Stevenson maintained a composed demeanor during the faceoff, emphasizing his focus on the fight ahead. He addressed critiques of his fighting style, stating, “It’s a marathon; longevity is all that matters,” underscoring his commitment to a strategic approach in the ring.

William Zepeda, boasting an undefeated record of 33-0 with 27 knockouts, challenged Stevenson to engage more directly in the ring.
