Stephen Curry Scores 29 as Warriors Rout Heat for Sixth Straight Win After 0-3 Start

Stephen Curry scored 29 points and knocked down six three-pointers Thursday night as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Miami Heat 120-100 at Chase Center for their sixth consecutive victory. Golden State, which opened the season 0-3, has turned its early struggles into a six-game winning streak and improved to 6-3. Curry began slowly, making only two of his first 10 shots before halftime, but his third-quarter surge helped the Warriors seize control after a 53-53 tie at the break.

Curry poured in 14 points in the third quarter, connecting on three shots from beyond the arc as Golden State broke away. Draymond Green delivered a season-high 11 assists, while rookie Yaxel Lendeborg contributed 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists. The Warriors finished with a season-high 36 assists and overcame a double-digit deficit for the fourth straight game. For Miami, Davion Mitchell scored 22 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo added 20 points and 14 rebounds, and Bam Adebayo recorded 18 points and 10 boards.

The night offered an extra storyline as former Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson returned with Miami a day after hitting an overtime winner against the Clippers. Thompson scored 11 points and received a warm reception before tipoff. Curry also passed Oscar Robertson for 17th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. Golden State now faces Orlando on Saturday, with its improved ball movement and defensive response providing a stronger story than a single Curry scoring total.
