TICKETS ON SALE NOW! RING III: JULY 12 NEW YORK DOUBLE HEADER FEATURING STEVENSON-ZEPEDA AND BERLANGA-SHEERAZ
Ring Magazine III tickets are now officially available for purchase online at Ticketmaster. The event will take place on July 12 at Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York City.
The main event will feature a doubleheader, with Shakur Stevenson defending his WBC lightweight title against William Zepeda. This is Stevenson’s third defense of his belt against arguably his toughest opponent yet, the undefeated Mexican fighter Zepeda, who is also seeking a world title.
In the other main event, New York-born Edgar Berlanga will face undefeated Hamzah Sheeraz in a super middleweight contest. This is Berlanga’s debut at super middleweight, and both fighters are seeking a statement win.
The event will also include a stacked show featuring Alberto Puello defending his WBC junior welterweight title against Subriel Matias, and David Morrell Jr. seeking an immediate response after his defeat to David Benevidez against Imam Khataev.
Ring Magazine successfully delivered its first two fight nights earlier this year in London and New York, and July’s show will follow suit. In April, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosted an extraordinary boxing match between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn. Subsequently, in May, Times Square made history as the first outdoor boxing venue, witnessing victories for Devin Haney and WBO and The Ring super lightweight title holder Teofimo Lopez. However, Ryan Garcia suffered a surprising defeat against Rolando Romero.
