TONIGHT: Undefeated super middleweight David Benavidez takes on once-beaten Roamer Alexis Angulo in the headlining attraction of an exciting SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING tripleheader.
Benavidez, who became the youngest super middleweight champion in boxing history in 2017 at the age of 20, missed weight at Friday’s weigh-in, losing his WBC title on the scale. Although Benavidez cannot regain his title, power puncher Angulo still has the chance to earn the now vacant WBC 168-pound belt with a victory.
The fight card also features rising lightweight Rolando Romero taking on fellow unbeaten Jackson Maríñez for the interim WBA Lightweight Title. Plus, heavyweight contenders Otto Wallin and Travis Kauffman clash in the televised opening bout.
Fists start flying at 9pm ET/6pm PT. Watch live on SHOWTIME or stream on the SHOWTIME app.
