Now we have reached the Main Event. Ernesto Mercado vs Deiner Berrio. From the very first round you can tell Ernesto has power. The sound of his punches are thudding. Deiner just seems disinterested to get in an exchange and for good reason. Rounds two and three Ernesto has been ripping ferocious body shots. It looks like this fight is over with. Deiner is not coming out for the 4th round. Ernesto moves to 14-0 with 13 Big KOs.
Moving on to bout 6 we have Carlos Jackson vs Alexis Bastar. Carlos patiently is trying to land the money shot. Alexis is showing he’s a veteran and is trying to bait Carlos in. This match has been filled with low blows. Some low but others on the beltline. Carlos has been deducted two points in the third round. It seems as if Alexis did not come out for round 5. Carlos wins by TKO.
Going into the 5th fight of the night we have Oscar Perez vs Jeremiah Watts. Round 1 was more of a feel out round with Oscar landing the harder punches but Jeremiah was peppering him with shots. In round 2 Oscar received two warnings for low blows. At one point Jeremiah took about 30 seconds to recoup. Jeremiah got dropped but it seemed like a flash knockdown. He got back up and went back to war. Great back and forth battle with Oscar getting the better of the exchanges. The last and final round was a rockem sockem slugfest. In the end Oscar Perez walked away with the Unanimous Decision while improving his record to 9-0.
In the 4th fight of the night we have Adrian Serrano vs Luis Gerardo. Adrian has knocked out Luis mouthpiece a few times already. Every exchange has the crowd roaring with excitement. Just when it seems as if Adrian had Luis out on his feet then Luis would fire off a two or three punch combo. The final scores were Adrian Serrano by Majority Decision.
In the third fight of the night we have Carmen Vargas vs Clarice Morales. The first round we saw Carmen hit Clarice with thunderous body shots to try to slow her down. From then on Carmen landed at will. Clarice was not going to back down and even landed some nice shots herself. Carmen received a cut from clash of heads but finished strong winning a tough split decision.
In the second fight of the night Depriest Joseph wins in what appeared to be a back and forth fight. Depriest had his moments but Jeremiah Truhlar applied pressure at times that made Depriest have to work harder. Depriest won all 4 rounds 39-37 and moves to 2-0.
In the first fight of the night Phillip Rhome Jr made easy work against Harrison Melendez. Winning an unanimous 4 rounder. Phillip moves on to 3-0.
