Valedez defeats Quigg In a War

Carson, Ca– California is known for it’s a beautiful sunny weather, but this past Saturday the rain pour over the open arena in Carson. Only the loyal boxing fanatics decided to show up with Panchos on hand to enjoyed a classic war between Oscar Valdez and Scott Quigg.
Valdez was able to retain his featherweight world title after going to war with Quigg.
The fight was almost canceled even before the day of the match but not because of weather. Quigg was not able to make the featherweight weight limit of 126. Valdez and Quigg’s team agree to a financial agreement to not cancel the fight. Both fighters came to fight, but it was apparent of the size difference between both fighters. Quigg was the bigger man in the ring. From the get-go, both fighters were not shy and started to land hard solid punches. Valdez was landing devastating body shots on Quigg. Valdez was landing heavy shots, but Quigg’s size difference and toughness allowed him to take the blows. Valdez speed and accuracy allowed him to control the early part of the fight. During the fifth round,
Quigg was able to land some of his punches that ended up breaking Valdez Jaw. Later in the battle, Valdez broke Quigg’s nose, and both fighters were a bloody mess. It was an action pack fight that should. Valdez was able to survive the broken jaw and awarded the unanimous decision. The judges score all card in favor of Valdez 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111.
