Conroe, TX, Alfonso “El Tigre” Lopez (31-3, 25 KOs), the fighting pride of Texas; will return to the ring and headline “Terrenos Houston Fight Night” at the Lone Star Convention Center on Saturday, November 16, 2019. BOA Entertainment will cover the action-packed fights with the doors opening at 6:00 PM.
Commentary will be provided by the world-renowned Englishman Dan Hewitt, of Boxing TV along with fellow co-host Christian Vasquez from the great State of Texas.
Lopez the current WBO-NABO champion, last fought in July 2019, is looking to defend his ABO LightHeavyweight Intercontinental Championship and NBA World Light-Heavyweight Championship while attempting to obtain the NABF Light Heavyweight Championship against the explosive and upset-minded, Denis Grachev, (19-9-1, 10 KOs) hailing from Chaykovsky, Russia. Grachev has wins over a then-undefeated amateur World Champion Ismail Sillakh and another then-undefeated legend in Zsolt Erdei. In a recent interview, Lopez stated, “Grachev is an extremely dangerous opponent and I am up for the challenge. I look forward to putting on a great performance for my fans and look to having my hand raised in the end”.
Armando Frausto (7-1, 5 KOs) of La Marque, Texas makes his return to the ring in anticipation of a rematch against Jonathan Lecona-Ramos (18-25-5 6 KOs). In their previous meeting, Lecona-Ramos squeezed by a with a split decision win in earning the ABO Super Bantamweight Regional Championship.
Frausto stated that he has been waiting for revenge for one year and cannot wait to meet his rival in the ring. This will definitely be an explosive bout that looks to bring back and forth action once again.
Alicio Castaneda (15-2-1, 6 KOs) from Willis, Texas by way of Galveston, Texas will be fighting for the ABO Lightweight Regional Championship against the tough and rugged, Christian Guido of Roma, Italy (7-12, 6 KOs). Both fighters have plenty of ring experience and will battle tough from the opening bell.
