Indiana Lands Five-Star Azy Jackson, ESPN’s No. 20 Recruit in 2027 Class
Indiana women’s basketball has landed one of the nation’s best 2027 prospects. Five-star forward Azy Jackson committed to the Hoosiers Friday, giving Teri Moren another major recruiting victory. The 6-foot-4 Bonney Lake, Washington standout is ranked No. 20 nationally in ESPN’s SC Next 100 and chose Indiana over a group that included USC, Kansas, North Carolina and Cal.
Jackson averaged 14.6 points and 14.8 rebounds per game during her junior season at Bonney Lake High School. Her senior year will look different after a knee injury suffered during the summer ruled her out for the 2026-27 high school season, but the setback did not cool her recruitment. Jackson said Indiana’s small-college-town atmosphere and the genuine relationships she developed during her visit helped separate the Hoosiers from the other finalists.
The commitment gives Indiana three top-75 ESPN prospects in its 2027 class. Jackson joins No. 24 Brookeslee Colvin and No. 66 Finley Parker, giving the Hoosiers a strong early foundation one year after assembling ESPN’s No. 8 class for 2026. Jackson’s recovery will be worth monitoring, but the larger recruiting message is already clear: Indiana is stacking nationally ranked talent across consecutive classes.
