Bruno Surace Signs Six-Fight Deal With Zuffa Boxing
French super middleweight Bruno Surace has officially joined Zuffa Boxing, giving Dana White’s growing promotion another recognizable name at 168 pounds. Zuffa announced Surace’s signing Friday, while French reporting says the agreement covers six fights over three years. No opponent or debut date has been announced yet.
Surace, 28, owns a 26-1-2 professional record and remains best known for his stunning sixth-round knockout of Jaime Munguia in December 2024. Munguia won their May 2025 rematch by unanimous decision, and Surace has not fought since. That inactivity makes his first Zuffa assignment especially important: the deal gives him a clear route back into regular competition after more than a year away from the ring.
The signing also continues Zuffa Boxing’s aggressive roster build. Surace brings international appeal and an established upset win that can immediately be used in promotion, even though his next opponent remains unknown. His most compelling long-term storyline is obvious—a possible third fight with Munguia—but the immediate priority is getting Surace active again. Zuffa’s choice for his debut opponent should reveal whether the promotion intends to rebuild him gradually or push him directly back toward the top of the super-middleweight division.
