Cameron Boozer Becomes Second-Youngest NBA Player Ever With Triple-Double

Cameron Boozer made NBA history Thursday night, becoming the second-youngest player ever to record a triple-double as the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Portland Trail Blazers 124-103. The 19-year-old rookie finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists, helping Memphis improve to 5-0 and remain one of the NBA’s last unbeaten teams.

At 19 years and 103 days old, Boozer trails only Josh Giddey, who was 19 years and 84 days old when he recorded his first triple-double in 2022. Boozer is also the youngest player ever to post a triple-double in an NBA victory and the youngest frontcourt player to accomplish the feat, surpassing Victor Wembanyama. Even more impressive, Boozer reached the milestone in only his fifth NBA game. Oscar Robertson, Art Williams and Ben Simmons are the only other players to record a triple-double within their first five appearances.

The performance adds another layer to Boozer’s fast start after Memphis selected him No. 3 overall in the 2026 NBA Draft. He had already delivered a 25-point, 13-rebound performance and a late go-ahead basket earlier in the season, but Thursday showed the full range of his game. Memphis is winning, and its 19-year-old rookie is already producing milestones normally reserved for established stars.
