Jake Paul Announces Christmas Eve Boxing Return in Dubai
Jake Paul will return to professional boxing on Christmas Eve in Dubai, Most Valuable Promotions announced Thursday morning. The Dec. 24 event will mark Paul’s first fight since his sixth-round knockout loss to Anthony Joshua in Miami on Dec. 19, 2025, when Paul suffered a broken jaw that required multiple surgeries. His opponent and additional event details have not yet been announced.
The announcement is a meaningful step beyond the comeback discussions that had circulated in recent weeks because Paul now has a confirmed date and host city. MVP says the event is being developed through a cooperation agreement with the Dubai Sports Council and Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism. Paul, 29, owns a 12-2 professional record with seven knockouts and said several potential opponents remain under consideration.
The opponent will determine how significant Paul’s comeback becomes from a competitive standpoint. For now, the biggest storyline is the return itself: after the most damaging defeat of his career and nearly a full year away from competition, one of boxing’s biggest commercial attractions has committed to another professional fight. MVP says the opponent and further event information will be revealed in the coming weeks.
