Victor Wembanyama Drops 43 Points, Six Blocks as Spurs Win Fourth Straight

Victor Wembanyama delivered one of the biggest two-way performances of the young NBA season Saturday night, scoring a season-high 43 points with seven rebounds, six blocks and four assists as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 121-111. Wembanyama shot 17-for-34 from the field and reached 40 points for the 10th time in his regular-season career, helping San Antonio win its fourth straight game after an 0-2 start.

The 22-year-old controlled both ends when the Spurs needed separation. One sequence captured the night: Wembanyama blocked Jonathan Kuminga’s three-point attempt, raced the other way and finished with a two-handed dunk to reach 40 points. Dylan Harper added 25 points and six assists, while De’Aaron Fox supplied another strong all-around performance. Minnesota, playing without Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert, was led by Ayo Dosunmu’s 27 points and nine rebounds.

The larger takeaway is how quickly San Antonio has recovered from its slow start. Wembanyama’s combination of high-volume scoring and elite rim protection gives the Spurs a ceiling few teams can match when he is rolling at both ends. With four consecutive wins and their franchise centerpiece producing a 43-point, six-block night, San Antonio is already giving the rest of the West another reason to pay attention.
